The authors assess the capacity of the Russian B2C market of certain types of meat and main products of their processing in the context of changes occurring in the traditions of consumption of Russians. The increase of competition in the beef market between foreign market participants, the increase in consumption and the expansion of the share of lamb in the consumer market is predicted. Reduction of consumption and narrowing of pork market capacity in favor of beef and mutton is proved. The reduction of the consumption of sausages and offal is predicted because of the changes in consumer behavior. The supply of poultry meat from domestic sources reaches its limit.
