The article is devoted to development of task lists for managers and specialists as a means to investigate the scope of their job and optimize the requirements to a certain position when developing the system of occupational standards at industrial enterprises.

► a task list should contain prescriptive and recommendatory norms of labor for a certain position
► the combination of labor organization and stimulation methods allowed the author as a member of a research working group to solve the problem of transition of shipbuilding enterprises to a new remuneration system
