The article discusses the current state of the regional labour market in the Republic of Kabardino-Balkarian Republic. Based on the analysis of the labour market determined the degree of effectiveness of the current system of management of professional self-determination of rural youth in the agricultural sector, the criteria of socio-psychological and economic efficiency of the management of professional self-determination of youth and the necessity of the formation of an integrated system of socio-professional orientation, which should be career-oriented centers. One of the greatest challenges of today is a professional self-determination of rural youth. Its result is an imbalance in the available workforce and the needs of the labour market, causing unemployment and other destructive socio-economic processes in the Republic, which involved not only young people, but also society as a whole The article also discusses the role and place of rural youth in the social and labour potential of the village, shows the trends in the change of dominants of the employment priorities of rural youth. The analysis of the current state of the labour market of the agricultural sector of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic and the main areas of professional orientation work among the youth of the region.
