A human being or the human factor is the central one to any production or nonproduction activity. The existing diversity of interpretations of such categories as "labor force", "personnel", "staff" and "labor potential" brings in confusion and disarray. The article presents the author's approach to understanding the nature of the labor potential of an enterprise.
