This article discusses the key aspects of the process of ensuring economic security in the personnel management in sports organizations, as this topic is relevant because of the growth of competition in physical training and sports and as a consequence of the use of various (including non-legal) methods of obtaining information about competitors, which is a commercial secret. The article also analyzes and presents the main methods to ensure the economic security of sports organizations in the personnel management and the classification of information constituting a commercial secret in physical training and sports. The essence of the considered methods comes down to prevent negative consequences from dissemination of confidential information by the employee. Ensuring economic security in personnel management is an important process, since its inefficient implementation can lead to negative consequences for sports organizations.
