Abstract:

The article analyzes the current state of digitalization of Russian industry, discusses problems and identifies prospects for transforming industry in the digital economy. The relevance of the article is due to the rapid development of new information and communication technologies, thanks to which a new mode of production arises that is based on fundamentally different rules than traditional, and affects all industries. The research hypothesis is that the slow transformation of industry is a consequence of low innovation activity of industrial enterprises. It is shown that digitalization is the basis for high rates of economic growth and the new structure of the economy. The article compares the state of "digitalization" of Russian industry with the similar state of industry in other countries, world leaders in the field of digital transformation. The reasons restraining the digital transformation of industry are considered. The ways of solving the identified problems are suggested. The forecast of the use of digital technologies in the organizations of manufacturing industries is given. The results of the research can be used to improve the management of the development of the digital economy in Russia.
