Rozhkova Aleksandra Viktorovna – (Moscow State Univeristy of Education)
The article is a theoretical and methodological analysis of the popular technology in the field of personnel management in recent times - coaching. Here the conditions for the development of this technology in the sphere of management are analyzed from the point of view of the concept of personnel management (author – Evenko L.I.), which is a theory about the development of staff relations and leadership in organizations (in the format of successive four concepts). Based on this theory, the popularity and active development of coaching is seen as a result of the transition from the concept of human resource management to the concept of human management. Relying on the analysis of information sources, the essence, main features and differences of coaching from other methods used for professional and personal development were formulated. Based on theoretical knowledge and analysis of works on the use of coaching, the article formulates the problems facing coaching in the Russian reality: ignorance of this technology, the lack of coaching programs adapted to the Russian mentality, the incompetence of false-coaches, and questions related to the field of coaching. The article raises the question of the need to introduce this direction as a practical discipline in the educational programs of higher education institutions.
