Abstract:

In the article the author undertakes a brief statistical study of the standard of living of the population of Russia and countries of the European Union (EU). The data of the Federal State Statistics Service website serves as the information base of the study, namely, the collection "Russia and the countries of the European Union, 2017". For the analysis the author has chosen the following data: the average monthly gross wage, the structure of expenditures on final consumption of households, the number of road traffic deaths, and the distribution of living quarters according to the number of rooms.
