Abstract:
The author considers some aspects of state regulation of household incomes in the Russian Federation by setting a minimum wage (MW). We have analyzed the legislative base of MWC and its transformation in the recent period. We consider whether Russian minimum wage meets the criteria of international recommendations, of minimum subsistence level and average salary level. We mark out disadvantages of the regulation mechanism of minimum wage as an element of social protection of the population.
