Abstract:

The article highlights the main factors contributing to the changes in consumer behavior and consumption traditions in a context of global processes. The author proposed a matrix method of forecasting price indices and configuring their fluctuation. The example of development of fresh white cabbage market in the Central Federal District shows the use of the matrix method of forecasting absolute price values for the long term. This method allows entrepreneurs to pre- orient their activities on prices expected by the consumers and create their favorable attitude towards their activities.
