Abstract:

The origins of bibliometrics associated with quantitative measurement copyright philosophers heritage of the Ancient World. Author highlighted its typical and special tasks, the Russian experience in 18 centurу, relations with scientometrics, webometrics, altmetrics, etc.Contemporary content bibliometry defined as quantitative reflection of changing relationships between objects in the localized information field of the selected indicators. Author shows the development trends by analyzing Scientometrics journal.
