Abstract:

The paper reveals the problems of promotion in different sciences, such as marketing, sociology, social psychology, imageology, theory of communications. The author have founded that promotion in marketing is synonym to marketing communications, and also is the process or mechanism, consisting of such instruments as advertising, PR, personal sales, sale promotion.
