The article considers prerequisites for creation, development and implementation of a strategic approach to human resource management in Russia. The author systemizes the main approaches
to the interpretation of the content of manpower strategy, process and methods of its development. She identifies the problems of implementing
strategic approach to human resource management in Russian companies and their possible solutions making use of foreign experience.
