The article explains the necessity of social policy development of enterprises focused on the needs of the society. This problem is of particular importance in the crisis conditions when there is a need for additional measures of social protection for employees, because of the deteriorating conditions of production environment. The experience of Western countries in this field could be a basis for the development of social standards needed to maintain a socially responsible policies of enterprises.
