Abstract:

The paper considers the aging processes occurring together with low birth rate and high mortality. The study of the main causes of aging is necessary to improve the effectiveness of social policy. Methods of synthesis and analysis, as well as methods of graphical representation of data were used as research methods. External migration helps to curb the pace of aging in our country. Unfortunately, the threshold of retirement age currently reaches the most numerous generation of Russians. According to this the rate of aging will only increase. Among workers of the third age, there are a number of advantages: more modest monetary compensation, flexibility to forms of employment. In a situation of the share of the population of retirement age is growing and the economically active population is declining, it is necessary to use the resource for the reproduction of labor potential in a balanced way.
