Abstract:

The dynamic development of tourism and hospitality industry in the Siberian federal district actualizes the problem of its staffing. The article presents the results of a survey of heads of large enterprises of the hospitality industry of the Siberian federal district, demonstrating the main problems of staffing in the industry. The most acute problems identified are the shortage and high staff turnover. The authors have formed a list of measures aimed at solving this problem, developed by the results of its joint discussion with representatives of employers and educational institutions that provide training for the hospitality industry. The developed recommendations assume active interaction of stakeholders of the hospitality industry and educational institutions, focus on the need to promote the professions of the hospitality industry among young people, determine the importance of adjusting federal educational standards and curricula.
