In this article, on the basis of comparative analysis of the results of research 2008 and 2018, there have been highlighted new trends of employment of students on the labour market. We defined the scope, motives and areas of concentration of student employment, identified channels and methods of seeking work, especially the consolidation of labor relations between employers and working students, the conditions and wages of the employed students, the quality of jobs provided to students and others In the study, "secondary employment" students used quantitative and qualitative methods of collecting and analyzing information. Following trends were identified for student employment at the present time: the irregularity and the short duration, it is concentrated mainly in the service sector, the main motive of combining study and work is the quest for financial independence, as well as the intangible benefits - the desire to acquire work experience, social and professional skills. Revealed that jobs in the fields of employment of students mainly are of poor quality and new forms of employment is localized in the informal sector, often require a personal investment in training. The authors conclude that given current trends in the labour market, the demand of employers for labor students will grow, and student employment during the period of study at the University facilitates the transition to professional activities after graduation.
