The analysis of the current state of falsification of food products in the retail sector has been carried out, and measures have been proposed to reduce and gradually eliminate the sale of falsified food products. The main focus is made on the identification of the falsification of dairy products and products intended for baby food. Among the main directions of reducing the level of fraud are as follows: improvement of the contractual work with suppliers, amplification of the requirements for commodity-accompanying documents confirming the safety of goods, as well as improvement of the legislative documents by amending them.
