The article presents the results of a study of working conditions of railway workers, the peculiarities of influence of harmful and dangerous factors of production environment. The analysis of production traumatism and professional morbidity of workers performing work for the transport of goods and rendering of services on passenger service, as well as ensuring the continuity of the transportation process and safety of movement of trains. On the basis of a comprehensive analysis of working conditions recommendations for addressing the causes that lead to accidents and occupational diseases workers performing operations associated with the organization and implementation of transportations of passengers, cargoes, Luggage and gruzobagazha by rail. These recommendations found its application in the development of a draft regulation on labour protection in the implementation of passenger transportation on the railway transport.
