Abstract:

Analysis of the factors that determine the conditions for the intensification of economic growth at this stage of development of the domestic economy, forces to reorient to the search for domestic sources. The paper considers the relationship between the dynamics of wages in the Russian economy and the pace of economic development. The comparative analysis of statistical information characterizing the processes in the labor market allows us to conclude that the share of wages has a high impact on economic development. Theoretical and statistical analysis shows the possibility of considering the increase in the level of income of the population as a leading component of total demand in the domestic market. The necessity of reorientation of the development strategy (including within the framework of the policy of import substitution) to the expansion of domestic demand based on the growth of real wages is determined.
