The article describes the migration and its current state in the Russian Federation. We analyze the dynamics of migration processes and their impact on the labor market. We found out that the migration process has significantly grown against the background of demographic crisis and territorial disparities in the country. Migration became a determining factor in the state of the labor market. On the basis of factor and correlation analysis we show how the number of arrivals of working age effects on the rate of migration pressure on the labor market in the studied regions and in the country as a whole. We also found out that the improvement of migration policy is necessary for reducing the dependence of the labor market on foreign work force and filing its gaps with its own workforce.
