Abstract:

Tourism development is impossible without the development and innovation, which are indispensable for achieving economic success. Formation of new types of tourism, in particular a virtual one, is one of the trends. The author has described its role and value for modern society; The author’s definition of virtual tourism and the criteria for classification of virtual tours have been proposed.
