Abstract:

Food addiction and problems related to eating disorders have been and continue to be relevant throughout the history of human development. Therefore, many physiologists and psychologists have been trying to solve this problem for many years. Modern ideas about the nature of eating disorders indicate a number of risk factors: genetic, social, psychological, family and personal. Dissatisfaction with your body leads to the use of various methods of weight loss, which, without consulting a specialist, can be not only not effective, but also harmful to health.

Highlights:

1. Fashion and enthusiasm for diets are considered the most important modern trigger mechanisms for eating disorders.
2. The food industry is, above all, a business.
3. Contemplation of images and smells cause certain structures of our brain to experience hunger.
4. The formulas used by the food industry force us to buy exactly those or other products and use them in bigger portions.
