Abstract:

The author highlights the process of creating an economic and trade bloc, called BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa), in the context of new international relations in the field of energy. The features of Brazil's energy development and its impact on the world energy market are shown. The level of complementarity at the present stage of development of the association is analyzed. The role of Brazil as a regional Latin American country in the context of integration of the continent is highlighted. The author makes the conclusions about the strengthening of the importance of these countries for world politics and economy.
