Abstract:

According to the world health organization, brain damage of various origins is in the first place among the world's population due to limited health opportunities (HIA). The effectiveness of rehabilitation depends directly on the damage, comorbidities and personality traits. Psychological examination is one of the fundamental directions of neurorehabilitation of patients with brain lesions of different etiology. At different stages of the patient's recovery, the role of psychological support is differentiated: at the stage of resuscitation, the leading role is given to the diagnosis of higher mental functions (VPF) and psychostimulotherapy, and at the stage of rehabilitation – to the diagnosis and psychological adaptation of the patient's emotional and personal characteristics. Only a comprehensive approach to psychological rehabilitation of a person with disabilities can have a positive effect. That is why there is a need to determine the individual level of psychological rehabilitation potential of the individual and psychological support throughout the rehabilitation process. Having determined the factors influencing the level of PRP, having designated its structure and having developed the program of psychological support within the individual program of rehabilitation, it is possible to carry out more accurate assessment of the rehabilitation forecast, to improve it and to create system of the further corrective actions which will be directed on return of the person to normal conditions of life and restoration of his status of the personality.

Highlights:

1. Neuropsychological examination conducts a deep diagnosis of higher mental functions.
2. Properly selected system of rehabilitation measures can almost completely return to the usual way and rhythm of life of patients with brain lesions.
3. Psychological rehabilitation potential acts as the main resource in case of changes in the social situation of development as a result of the disease.
