In 2013 the President Xi Jinping for the first time promulgated the initiative «One Belt, One Way». President Xi Jinping drew attention to the fact that it is necessary to transform the world's opportunities into China's opportunities and turn Chinese opportunities into global ones. Such a large-scale project covering a huge territory has a large number of challenges, problems and risks, including political, economic, and cultural, etc. In the article the author explores the political risks with which the implementation of the project «One Belt, One Way» may collide, including such aspects as political transparency, corruption issues, the stability of political power, the change of generations of the political elite, the issues of following laws, etc.
