The article is devoted to the problems of increasing productivity. It examines the trends in productivity growth in 12 developed countries and presents a comparative analysis of individual factors that directly affect the performance of labor productivity in some European countries, the United States and Japan. The article considers the reasons for Russia's lag in the level of labor productivity from the developed countries of Europe and the United States; a detailed analysis of the level and dynamics of labor productivity in the Russian economy. The authors of the article calculated indicators of labor productivity dynamics, indicators of the ratio of the average wage growth rates in the economy of the Samara region. Special attention is paid to the state of labor regulation as a factor of production efficiency, in particular, weak informatization of labor regulation.
