The article describes development trends of women entrepreneurship in the second half of XIX –beginning of XX century in Russia, fixed, basing on the statistics materials, measures, taken by the Country leaders & facts that are of interest to the audience. It is noticed during the switch to market conditions women entrepreneurship started to develop as “shuttle” business, it contributed to demolish the lack of certain consumer goods, helped the entrepreneurs & those supporting their infrastructure to survive. “Shuttle” , mostly women entrepreneurship made them to raise/build the capital for further classical development of women entrepreneurship. Analyses of women entrepreneurship development statistics of further period proves the fact that it was intensively developed regardless objective or subjective difficulties women entrepreneurs had. The Article describes the foreign entrepreneurship experience which is applicable for the Russian market nowadays. In the end the Author provides recommendations on the improvement of women entrepreneurship & increase of its effectiveness.
