Abstract:

Trends in the functioning of the Russian agro-industrial complex are complex and contradictory. The article presents the results of the study of the state of agriculture of one of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation that is part of the Volga Federal District, namely, the Chuvash Republic. The authors show the main trends in the development of crop production and livestock, determine the role of all categories of farms in the production of agricultural products, develop the key tasks of agricultural development in the region.
