We consider the current state, problems and solutions to regional retail trade by the example of the Perm Territory. The region is a part of the Ural economic region and Volga Federal district. Among the problems of the retail trade of the region we note the difficulty with the promotion of products of regional manufacturers, high welcome bonus, late payment of commercial networks for the delivered products, the lack of a fixed margin for the offered products, the requirements to carry out delivery indirectly to the stores (through distribution centers), the requirements of the shopping chains to reduce prices for products supplied to them, returns of unsold goods to manufacturers. We suggest to develop mechanisms for self-regulation of trading activities, small commercial business, and ensure the possibility of stable functioning of non-stationary trade, modern network trading formats as the ways to solve the problems of regional retail trade of the Perm region.
