Most studies on mental states in sports refer to the pre-start and competitive periods; they pay insufficient attention to the characteristics of the course of mental states after competitions. In the article the authors consider mental states and experiences of athletes relevant and significant in the post-competition period.

Awareness of the impact of emotions or feelings on activity, allows you to correct the mental state in the right direction
Reducing the depth of the experience of failure can adversely affect the personal experience of the athlete
