The article shows peculiarities of economic integration in a number of subregions of South-East Asia and the South-Pacific region in the early 21st century. There are big Chinese capitals in the countries of ASEAN and Oceania, which are a subject to economic development which changes in the global and regional markets. We show the specifics of the interaction between capitals in the border regions of Asia and prospects for further development of traditional and new regional economic niches. We describe subregional directions of economic activities of the ASEAN and Oceania member-states in the first twenty years of the 21st century. We also show peculiarities of the integration of the capitals of TNCs and TNBs within the periods of the global economic crisis of 2008. We analyze prerequisites and factors of shadow economic zones in Southeast Asia and Oceania in the early 21st century.
