Abstract:

Assessments of the leading role of investment support for the innovative development of the modern economy are becoming widespread in the scientific literature. At the same time, attention is drawn to the growing role of R&D in the significance of developing knowledge-intensive industries, which has been recognized not only in economic science, but also in political leadership. Nevertheless, the implementation of the priority areas of economic development faces in practice various difficulties, which predetermines the adjustment of funding. This points to the need for the analysis of modern practice of investment processes, based on the evaluation of the implementation of budgetary allocations of targeted programs in R&D. The article considers indicators of the development of the innovation economy and financial component of the implementation of federal targeted programs; we identify the priorities of investment policy. The results of the study can be used to provide financial support for key economic sectors.
