Lebedintseva Olga Ivanovna – (The Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration)
In connection with increasing globalization and rapid socio-economic transformations there are high standards for experts in any professional field. It's not just about training in accordance with international standards, but also about the formation of certain skills and personality qualities necessary when competing on the global labor market. In this context, the study of emotional intelligence (psychological education) is a promising area of psychological research. Emotional intelligence is determined by the ability of an expert to adequately express his emotions, assess emotional state and motives of behavior of colleagues and clients, choose efficient communication methods and to cope with difficulties in troubled business situations, which result in burnout syndrome.
Highlights:
•Representatives of "helping" professions are, first and foremost, in the risk zone of the burnout syndrome
•Well-developed emotional intelligence recovers lost resources in a relatively short time and restrains professional burnout
•Further scientific research of emotional intelligence will make it possible to develop prevention programs and to overcome the phenomenon of professional burnout
