Abstract:

The issue of mental states in sports activities is still one of the topical ones. The article consider different point of view of sports psychologists on the nature of mental states in sport: the concept, features and characteristics. Pre-competition mental states play the key role because they significantly affect the success of activities.

Highlights:

-Mental state affects the effectiveness of the athlete's activity indirectly, creating a background for the course of mental processes
-Combat readiness of an athlete is an integrative assessment of sports training
-We need to study mental states in an integrated manner
