Abstract:

The article considers development prospects for Volgograd region in the framework of the implementation of import substitution policy. We study opportunities for safe development of socio-economic system. We analyze the prospects for the transition of the regional economy to neoindustrialization. We analyze official statistical indicators characterizing the dynamics of neoindustrialization in the economy of the Volgograd region. We consider the structure of GRP of the region, the level of education, the productive power of high technology and high-tech industries, the scale of industrial production growth and the impact of economic entities on the ecology of the region under consideration. We indicate the possibility of neoindustrial development of old industrial region in the context of implementation of import substitution policy.
