Tendencies to create postindustrial space dictate the need to find ways to develop and improve the resource component of production. Many researchers of management and development of innovative potential consider it as a key element in constructing multifaceted complex and stable structure. Innovation as a concept is actively developing both among economists, theoreticians, researchers, and among industrialists, politicians, representatives of the business elite; it is a term that has been widely publicized since the late 19th century and is still topical. In the article we use methods and tools that allow carrying out a comprehensive analysis based on the systematization and structuring of the thematic material, namely, compilation, system, selective, statistical, critical and analytical approaches. The study results in conclusions about the essence and features of the innovative potential of the enterprise, which are the result of systematization and generalization of the previously studied parameters and criteria for assessing innovation potential. The value of the paper in practical application is the possibility of choosing the most objective method for assessing enterprise’s innovative potential from the ones presented in the article.
