The monograph considers the issues of information retrieval on the Internet. We analyze current approaches to these issues and applied methods and algorithms. We show universal and special-purpose software tools and systems for information retrieval in the global network, and we indicate their advantages and disadvantages. We classify the approaches, methods, algorithms used in information retrieval systems on the Internet and suggest the new original approach to the search for answers on the Internet.
