Abstract:

The article carries out the terminological analysis of the notion of "modernization". We conduct that its key aspects are institutional and innovative aspects. We also conclude that we need a technological modernization to include Russian industrial enterprises in global production systems. We justify that the main signs of current possibility of including the industry in the world technological environment are technological innovation and the development level of information and communication technologies, involvement in foreign trade, investment in the industry, environmental friendliness of the business, the degree of concentration of business. We suggest the assessment method of the potential of technological integration, the application of which for Russian industries allowed to rank the subjects of the economy according to the degree of need for modernization.
