Abstract:

In the article we pay attention to international programs and assessment studies on achievements in education. We analyze integration of Russian higher education in the European market of educational services on the basis of the Bologna Declaration. We also pay attention to changes in the structure of higher education, development of quality control of education, programs aimed at increasing the mobility of students and teachers. Classic works of economic theory and works of domestic and foreign scientists devoted to the issues of education, assessment of investments in the development of human capital, formation of the "knowledge economy" and the functioning of the market of educational services are at the core of methodological and theoretical basis of the research. In the study we use statistical data of UNESCO, OECD, the United Nations, the World Bank, EFQM, Erasmus, the Russian Federal State Statistics Service.
