Abstract:

The article presents the results of the study of personal anxiety and neuroticism in people with increased abrasion of teeth. The analysis of the obtained results was carried out in two stages. At the first stage of data processing, we compared patients with increased abrasion of teeth and patients without abrasion. We show that the level and the structure of personal anxiety in a group with increased tooth abrasion differ from patients without abrasion. At the second stage, we analyzed the profiles of personal anxiety and the increased abrasion of teeth according to personal characteristics. We show that the structural-substantial components of personal anxiety contribute to the development of increased abrasion of teeth.

Highlights:

• People with increased abrasion of teeth tend to have negative emotions.
• Before the orthopedic dental treatment of patients with increased abrasion of teeth it is necessary to determine their psycho-emotional status.
• The dentist should take into account the psycho-emotional status of the patient.
