The article is devoted to the study of decision-making process in small business companies. The lack of research of decision making in small organizations and the importance of small businesses for the economy explain the relevance of this study. The goal of this article is to reveal peculiarities of decision-making in small business by the example of microenterprises of Perm. In order to assess the main characteristics of decision-making process we developed a questionnaire filled out by 100 heads of small businesses. Management decisions that led to favorable outcomes are the object of research. The results of the survey of managers allowed defining approaches to successful managerial decisions in small business that can be used by the heads of small firms like "benchmark" in making significant management decisions. The study also allowed to determine the peculiarities of making managerial decisions in small business and compare these characteristics with the views of other researchers engaged in this topic. The paper will be of interest to managers, owners of microenterprises and researchers engaged in this topic.
