Abstract:

The article considers the issues of development of labor force in the context of structural unemployment problem caused by technological transformation of the Russian economy during the 1990s. We also consider the importance of this socio-economic problem in the context of strengthening of international migration processes.

Highlights:

• Reform of the labor market of the Russian Federation is characterized by a high rate of structural unemployment.
• Factors emerging today in the national labor market, including a high rate of structural unemployment, lead to the increase in migratory labor flows.
• Integration of the labor market and vocational education market is one of the forms of the ever-increasing integration.
• Issues of assessment of combinatory factors in labor force development remain important for studying the development processes of the integration of national markets.
