Abstract:

The article considers correlation between indicators of stress-resistance and socio-demographic, medical-biological, psychological and social characteristics of people suffering from oncological diseases. In families of the examined group we have found out reliable correlation between stress resistance and the fact of presence/absence of chemotherapy in the scheme of therapy of oncological disease, family status, personal characteristics and general dissatisfaction. The obtained results can be used to create programs for prevention of socially caused stress disorders, rehabilitation programs for people who survived a stressful situation and for people with various physical disorders.


Highlights:

• In Russia there is an increase in the number of patients with oncological diseases.
• People suffering from oncological diseases became a model for studying the phenomenon of stress resistance.
• Society for people with cancer plays a very important role in their daily life, functioning and adaptation in society in general.
