The article considers theoretical aspects of business planning in fitness industry, which is an actively developing direction of business. The feasibility of business planning in fitness industry is determined by the state policy promoting healthy lifestyle, and also by the fact that the number of consumers of fitness and sports clubs has doubled in the last five years, the number of fitness clubs has increased by 91.6%, and the sales of fitness organizations have increased by 99.5%. The information of the article is aimed at forming the competencies of sports managers in planning and assisting in the creation of a business plan for a fitness or sports club. We consider the factors affecting business creation in the fitness industry, business model options, the structure of business plan of fitness club with detailed characteristics of each section of the structure, the rules of registration and ways to create a business plan for a fitness or sports club.
