Modern enterprise needs the constant optimization of the renewal process of goods and services. Organizations use an assortment policy to increase the competitiveness and commercial efficiency. This article reveals the basic concepts of assortment policy and indicators taken into account during the analysis. We study its role at service organizations. We consider the main objective of the assortment policy, the tasks it solves and its functions. This article is a summary of the systematized characteristics and conclusions made on the basis of different sources. This article can be useful for managers of service enterprises and sales managers.
