The article considers the issues of management of small business development in the view of the features of the management object - Russian small business. We note that the specifics of the domestic small business in many ways is determined by the peculiarities of the Russian economic model, by the isolation of this direction of the state's social and economic policy from its other directions, and by the lack of many elements of the strategic planning system.
