In industrially developed countries the extensive development and introduction of innovative technologies in all spheres and stages of the production process is often listed among the key directions for achieving a stable economic situation and market success for industrial enterprises and organizations. In order to promote high rates and sustainable economic growth, the production complex must be dynamic and adaptable to external conditions, susceptible to scientific and technological progress. At present, this indicates the need to provide technological advantages in priority areas. Besides, real production should become receptive to advanced technologies created inside and outside the country in order to ensure the competitiveness of goods and services produced in the world market. The article considers the role of implementation of innovations in the processes of organization of management and production and some approaches to the assessment of innovative development of the enterprise. We analyze the enterprise innovation management system and study the approaches to the assessment of innovative development. The article also considers the features and disadvantages of the studied approaches.
