The article is devotes to the role of state regulation in the development of innovation economy in the Republic of Korea. The topic of the article is important because the Republic of Korea, as one of the most dynamic economies of the world, implements at the state level the "creative economy" program, which is aimed at the development of innovations. The author describes the process of the development of the state policy in innovations and highlights the special role of business in the development of innovations in the country. The article considers the sphere of state regulation of development of innovations and creative economy in the Republic of Korea. We also mark the role of big national conglomerates in the development of infrastructure and system of financing innovation economy.
