The article analyzes the migration processes and their impact on the socio-economic development of the country's regions. It is shown that under the most favorable development of events, the shortage of labor resources can not be mitigated only by measures of demographic policy, and the only source of compensation for the reduction of labor resources for the coming decades will remain migration. It is substantiated that the training and employment of migrants is a condition for the socio-economic development of the country's labor-deficit regions. The development of labor resources from migrants through the formation of needs for migrants, their training of the profession, employment and evaluation of the effectiveness of training is an important factor in improving the demographic situation in the country.

► the quality of workforce and increase of labor productivity of the immigrants is an important condition for their adaptation in the Russian economy

► the result ROI = 275% rate of return on investment in education of migrants is in the range of up to 700 %, which demonstrates the effectiveness of vocational training and meets the experience of leading Russian and international companies
